Selling my big box o' tubes! Here is the story with this collection:
All of the tubes below were either inherited by me in equipment I bought, or I purchased them here on agon or somewhere else (Upscale Audio, Parts Connexion, etc..) I didn't keep good notes (stupid, I know) about which tubes had done what - so this is a bit of the mess. Neither do I have a tube tester. Here are my only comments:
* Tube #3 is a gold pin tube that is the same size as the CCa. It looks similar, but it is absolutely not identical in terms of parts. Take that for what it is worth.
* Don't count on the E88CC's being good. I'm not selling the lot as if there were.
I'd bet about half of this lot is in good shape - certainly worthy of being used or tried out. All tubes are in small paper boxes - but the tube in any given box does not necessarily match the label on the box. Yes, disorganized, I know.
This lot is being sold AS IS - no returns. If it is only worth $1 - then thats what I will sell it for!
I'll answer very specific questions but will not generalize. I'm being really careful here not to promise anything but also to be clear that I honestly don't know how much juice is left in any given tube (ranges from totally dead to brand new)
