Thanks to the generosity of Paul Weitzel of Tube Research Labs, we're able to offer a brand-new TRL-modified Sony SCD-CE595 CD player as part of the Audio Asylum Asian Tsunami Victim Support Auction.
The extent and effect of Paul's mods are well-known, and modded units are often favorably compared to the $20,000 "big boys" out there! The link is to a review on 6moons of a TRL-modded Sony SCD-CE 775. The unit being offered has replaced that model in the Sony line-up, and in the words of a reviewer who should know, the new TRL-modded SCD-CE595 "eclipses the performance of the 775 in a manner that appropriately addresses the mission of music-making."
